Rug Cleaning Carlsbad

The first order of business is to inspection your rug to determine what type of rug it is and what kind of cleaning process may be suitable.  We design a multi-step strategy to effectively clean your rug and we inform you of the expected results after the rug has been cleaned.

After years of being walked upon, your rug will have dried dirt and soil embedded in the rug fibers. It is important to remove this dried soil before you start cleaning. We use different ways to loosen and remove dirt from the front and back of the rug. A machine called a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments and any many other methods may be used.

The hard to remove soil and dirt will be pre-conditioned to emulsify (break down) the components into smaller bits.

Next, special solutions are used to pre-treat stubborn stains and especially dirty spots. The fringe, which often gets quite dirty, is also pre-treated so that it can be cleaned effectively.

To get the best cleaning results yet protect your rug’s natural fibers, the rugs are washed with a Rug Shampoo that is especially designed for rugs.

Depending on the type of rug you have, it will be rinsed on both sides with an extraction equipment; or it may be washed in a wash pit designed especially for rugs.

Once the rug has been pre-conditioned, pre-treated, shampoo’ed, and rinsed, it is time to dry it. It is important to dry the rug promptly so as to prevent shrinking. The rug is hung to dry, or it is laid down flat to dry. This is done in a controlled environment.

Once dried, the rug will be combed and finished with soft groomers made especially for this purpose.
